Cold and Flu Season

Jonathan and myself have been blessed with some kind of a nasty virus this past week. Who knows if it's the Swine Flu or not? Our pediatrician is so swamped with kids needing to see him, that he is only seeing the very sick. And he's not screening anymore to see if it's the swine flu. He is telling everyone to stay home, rest, take Tylenol and treat it like you have the flu. So we took Tylenol every 4 hours and sometimes took Benadryl to take care of all the sinus pressure and let the virus run it's course. It is so fun to take care of a sick child when you are sick yourself and also trying not to pass germs to the well child. It hit me on Tuesday and Jonathan on Wednesday and today, almost a week later, is really the first day either one of us have made it off the couch. And if you are wondering Yes I did have the seasonal flu shot. The boys have not because of the whole flu shot shortage and Walgreens can give the flu shot to children but you have to be at least 9.
Chicken Noodle Soup always makes you feel better
You know Jonathan isn't feeling good when he won't get off the couch. But again we can see the end in sight.
And while we are laying on the couch trying to rest up, Jaden loves seeing all the new things he can get into. I am so thankful this little guy didn't get it.

I can't end this post without saying a big Thank You to Jason. He was an amazing daddy and husband through all of this. He made the trips to Walmart and Walgreens, cleaned the house, played with Jaden, and stayed as far away from us as possible. :)
