Twas The Night Before Christmas.....

when all through the house, everyone was stirring because we had just gotten home from our Christmas Eve service. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.....
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
We met Santa at Jason's big Winter Wonderland. It was a whopping total of 11 degrees that night so that's why the boys are so bundled up.

OK enough with trying to go with the Night Before Christmas poem.

Dad told the Christmas story while Jonathan acted it out with the little people.
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered................Bethleham.........Mary had a baby....the shepherds in the fields....they saw a star.........then 3 wise men...........
Jonathan: NO Jaden stop eating the wise men...........NO Jaden I said stop eating the wise men..........Mom can you get Jaden.....
Yeah, It went something like that.

Then finally the boys were asleep and SANTA came.

Notice my messed up tree. It was decorated pretty but Jonathan kept moving ornaments around because he said they looked better where he put them and then Jaden kept pulling the ribbon and beads so they were strung up wherever. But I didn't fuss because if you have a messed up tree then Christmas is still Magical at your house and it certainly was at ours.

Jonathan's expression when he saw the 4 wheeler. We had to move out the coffee table just so it would fit in the living room.

Seconds after this picture was taken, Jonathan ran the 4 wheeler into the wall.
Jason: "Ok time to get off. You will have to wait until it warms up a little and ride it outside." Seriously we have 3 more weeks in this house and we don't need a hole in the wall. No hole was made and we had a new rule, You can sit on it but don't push the gas petal. Well what do you think happened? Yeah, he ran over all Jaden's presents and almost plowed over Jaden. NEW RULE: Don't get on it at all! You can only ride it outside!
Jaden's expression on Christmas morning

Now we're getting the hang of it after watching big brother for a little bit.

*Sigh*
The best place for the 4 wheeler.........outside.
