We had an exciting but busy weekend. The following pictures are all from Jason's IPhone.
There is an elementary school a short walking distance from our house with 4 huge playground structures. We burned off energy before our first get together.

We watched Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Jonathan loves dinosaurs and Ice Age 1 and 2, so I knew this one would be a hit.

Then on to the cookout. They provided sparklers for all the kids.

After a great service yesterday morning, lunch, and naps, we headed over to the pastor's house for a cookout. All the staff kids were swimming and having a blast. A little background: Most of the time when we go to their house to swim no one is home. So Becky (the pastors wife) has told all the little boys to pick a bush or go behind the wall where all the pool equipment is to do your business if you have to go. Well Jason was watching Jonathan and I had Jaden in the kitchen, when Jason comes in and says, "Our son has just pooped in the pastor's yard." Yep! You read it right. I was told that Jonathan picked a bush (#1) then went behind the wall with all the pool equipment and when he came back to the pool he had the weirdest look on his face like "should I have just done that." So Jason goes investigating and to his horror found a little surprise.
Jonathan knows not to go to the bathroom in the pool. So I guess in his little brain he thought if it's ok to pee in the yard, it's ok to do the other.
And yes, since Jonathan was on Jason's watch, everyone thought it only appropriate for Jason to clean it up. So out to the backyard he goes with a Wal-Mart bag and a lot of napkins.

Everyone was laughing except for me and Jason. We were in shock.
Friend....do things like this really shock you at this point in the game??? :)
ReplyDeleteJason did a lot of things when he was little but this tops all of them!!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love boys!
Don't be shocked. Boys love to pee and poop outside! The hard part is letting them know when and where it's okay!
