Boys will be boys and bugs are Jonathan's new fascination. Today we went swimming and decided to pick up Sonic on the way. The kids meal toy was a bug catcher. Jonathan was thrilled. After his nap he went outside to try it out. And I'm thinking, he's not really going to catch anything in it, maybe an ant will climb in, but it's a kids meal toy, it's not going to work. Well, within 5 minutes Jonathan comes running in the house with a huge smile on his face saying, "Mommy I caught something!!!!" And to my surprise, he did catch something. A BUMBLE BEE!!!!!! He literally was bringing home the baby bumble bees. He kept saying, "I can't believe I just caught one." Sheer excitement and pleasure was on his face. He caught a total of 4 and was very proud of himself

After he caught the last bee, I suggested other bugs like grasshoppers or beetles. Not that I like any bugs, but those are better than bees, then Jonathan threw in that he can catch spiders too!
