I really wasn't that happy about turning 30. All the milestone birthdays were so exciting for me. 10 - wow the big double digits, 16 - you could drive by yourself, 18 - I was about to move in the dorm to start my freshman year of college, 21- I was starting my senior year of college (that was a very stressful year), 25 - Jason was going to graduate in December and we were about to start our life together in ministry. I loved my 20s!! Graduated from college, had my first real job, married the love of my life, had 2 amazing little boys. And what happens at 30. You start going with the flow? Time goes by faster? You start seeing gray hair? Was that wrinkle there yesterday? Did you hear my hip just pop? Your body starts falling apart? And when did birthdays become something you dread. Until now I haven't really minded having another birthday. And I was told having another birthday really beats the alternative, which is very true.
The ministers wives delivered this balloon and it was tied to black m&ms.
The scene when I woke up. Jonathan wanted to know why the table was all black.
Also the work of the ministers wives :)
It says Caution: 30th Birthday
And it's tied to a cactus
This year my flowers and cake came UPS and FedEx. Jason loves to order flowers from ProFlowers.com and the cake came from Mrs.Fields.com.

After a one hour Swedish massage and a party with the boys, it was time for my birthday date with my wonderful husband.
And I chose the Melting Pot! Yum
1st course and you dipped everything in a fiesta cheese fondue

2nd course
3rd course
It's all raw meat: chicken, pork, 2 kinds of steak, shrimp, lobster, and mushroom stuffed pastas. Then you cook it all in some kind of a French broth.
4th course
You dip everything above in a Peanut Butter Chocolate Fondue
Even though I dreaded turning 30. My birthday was fabulous.
